Program 1: 6-9 Month Development & Preproduction Phases
In these 2 Phases, Students Experience and Train in real-world filmmaking from the Producer’s and Director's perspectives -- from Acquiring Screenplays and Financing (Development) to HANDS-ON training in every aspect of Production Management, including use of professional Budgeting and Scheduling software. During this Phase (Preproduction), Students sharpen their leadership skills by supervising all Key Departments as the film gears up for Production.
Program 2: 1-2 Month Production Phase

This Career-Advancing Program Provides Hands-on Training in all facets of Feature Film Producing, Financing, Directing, Post Production, and now includes the Academy's Circuit Training with up to 10 Professional Workshops in all Key Filmmaking Disciplines, including Cinematography --
By the end of Preproduction, Students have gained the Knowledge, Experience and Confidence to walk and talk like Producers. Having earned their titles, they take the helm of the Feature Film that they have collectively preproduced.

During A.C.T., Producing Students rotate from department to department until all Key Crew Positions have been thoroughly covered both in theory and practice.

During each day’s training in Assistant Directing, Cinematography, Sound Mixing, and all Key Positions, DHIs (Department Head Instructors) execute the first 2-3 takes of select scenes to demonstrate standard industry procedure. The last 2-3 takes of these select scenes are then executed by students, not only to emulate their DHIs but to discover and build confidence in their own styles.

Throughout this intensive phase, students experience real-world Post Production from the Editor’s, Assistant Editor's, and from the Post Production Supervisor’s perspective. Training progresses from Advanced Editing Techniques--achieving the Editor’s Cut, Director’s Cut, and Picture Lock--to dealing with various Post Production Services and Processes, including ADR, Foley, Music, and Mix.
These professional Post Production Workshops, which also include HANDS-ON Training in FINAL CUT PRO or AVID Editing Systems, are highly recommended for Producing Students, but are not required to graduate from the program.
